Our
Mission:
Our mission is to prepare women for the challenges of today’s work
environment through panels, discussions, and social events. We provide
support for both female pre-Commerce and Commerce students, so that they
may better adapt to and excel in the both McIntire program and business
outside of the Commerce School. Our events include speakers, mentor
programs, pre-commerce activities, and opportunities to meet with
faculty, deans, and alumni. MWBF often sponsors visiting professionals
who will help answer student questions about careers, the working world
and other issues facing women in business.
Our Members:
Anyone interested in either the Commerce school or a career in business.
Our program strongly supports first and second year women considering
the Commerce school and provides a wonderful network and knowledge base
for current Commerce students. Our organization’s events fall mostly to
the executive officers. There are no committees and no membership fees.
